it’s nice to meet you. 

I’m Miah — a lifestyle, couple and wedding photographer originally based in Colorado, currently working out of Southern California and available worldwide.
But, let’s keep this simple, shall we?

I was born and raised in the incredible state of Colorado, and I survive off of fresh air and being out of doors. Most of me is controlled by the right side of my brain, which means I’m a free-spirited creative. I’m romanced by the mystery of living and the sense that there is great beauty to be found always - in my own being or self-awareness, tucked into the streets of a city on the other side of the world, on the tip-top of a mountain I have yet to climb or in the depths of relationships that have been nurtured with time and tenderness. I am constantly moved by things like the way the sun makes everything drip in gold as it’s setting, or the birds that sing to me in the morning, or the unexplainable knowing you feel when you look someone in the eye. I think that is why I fell in love with taking photos at such a young age. I love the idea that I get to capture and highlight the things that I see as beautiful and important, and it’s also why I continually fall more and more in love with this “job”. Because I get to capture people and the love between them, and there is maybe nothing more beautiful or important than that.

On a normal day you’ll find me outside (more than likely barefoot), reading in a hammock or climbing rocks, cozy on a couch surrounded by loved ones, sipping something warm in the corner of a local spot, or, if you’re lucky, salsa dancing with all of my heart.
